Clinical Services
TalarMade provides Orthotic Services in the NHS. We manage many clinics nationwide, employ a team of Orthotist and provide specialist treatment to a large number of patients.
Education & Training
Our education programme will help you expand your clinical expertise whilst enhancing your knowledge of TalarMade products in order to attain maximum clinical success. We understand what is required and how to make it work for you and your clinic.

The TalarMade clinic is at our head office in Chesterfield. Our clinics are led by qualified and highly experienced Orthotists, we offer a wide range of assessments alongside treatments. More information can be found on our clinic website

TalarMade is owned and managed by professionals from the fields of orthotics, podiatry, rehabilitation and physical therapy. With over 40 years market experience and using their extensive professional knowledge the team have worked diligently to create this leading product portfolio.

Chairman and FounderBernie Crewdson
Much of Talarmade’s product portfolio was originally designed or sourced from long-term global partners by Bernie. With vast entrepreneurial insight and decades of industry experience, Bernie works closely with the management team to manage Talarmade’s strategic objectives.
Clinical DirectorSimon Dickinson
Renowned for his outstanding contributions in product development, education, and leadership, Simon’s unwavering commitment to improving knowledge, products, orthotic services, and patient outcomes have made him a respected figure within our industry.
Technical DirectorDavid Buchanan
Dave is an internationally renowned Orthotist and key opinion leader, having worked for a number of UK clinical service companies and internationally with OttoBock and Thuasne before joining Talarmade. Dave is also heavily involved with the Becker Orthopaedic business
Sales DirectorBarry Emms
Barry has been with TalarMade since 2012. He has over 30 years experience in the sales and marketing of medical devices in the UK & Europe. When away from work Barry is a passionate Chelsea fan and has made his way into their Walking Football team!
Marketing ManagerGemma Walton
Gemma has many years of experience of working within the Orthotic industry for a number of organisations and was previously involved with Piedro before Talarmade entered into partnership with them. With expansive product knowledge, and attention to detail, Gemma is a key member of the team.
Operations and Quality ManagerAndrew Saxton
Andrew is a highly accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience designing and manufacturing medical devices. He excels in optimising business operations and driving collaboration among multidisciplinary teams.
Clinical Service LeadAdam Horrocks
Adam joined Talarmade in 2017 as a Clinical Specialist Orthotist. He delivers education programmes around the UK on adult and paediatric biomechanics, AFO design, MSK foot and ankle conditions, Orthotic prescription writing and has delivered material science educational programs around the UK and in Germany.
Chief Financial & Operating OfficerRyan Thomas
Ryan is an experienced financial and operational professional, he is passionate about people and focused on getting things right first time. Ryan has a successful career working in senior finance and operational roles for international and listed businesses.

Francis has a proven track record to deliver on targets, drive growth, profitability and sustainability. He has been in continuous employment for more than 25 years. His approach is to build great relationships with his clients to understand their needs

Damon has over 25 years experience within the IT industry with almost 15 of them directly involved in Orthotics. He has a proven ability of translating business requirements into practical, imaginative and highly effective IT solutions.

Emily has 30 years’ experience within the customer service industry and has spent the last 10 years implementing her skills and knowledge within the company. Her dedication and passion has seen her recently move to a new HR role which she’s already proving to be perfect for.

Amy started her journey with Talarmade when she left school at 16 years of age as an apprentice. Since then, she has continued to grow within Talarmade and now manages the customer services team. Amy is highly valued within the Talarmade family.
